The Sokkia DX-103AC Motorized Total Station's innovative technology enables you to quickly and easily perform complex measurement tasks with 3-second accuracy. Save money and improve productivity with Sokkia's new Direct Aiming Technology, which enables the total station to automatically target the prism for quick and accurate angle readings.

The Magnet Field on-board software allows you to complete surveying and engineering tasks in less time than ever before, while the advanced security provided by TSshield protects your motorized total station form unauthorized use, offering you peace of mind. You can even use Bluetooth wireless communication to connect your DX-103AC to an external data collector, turning the Sokkia DX into an economical robotic total station.

Automatic Prism Recognition

Lengthy setup and stake out procedures are a thing of the past with the Sokkia surveying motorized total station’s Direct Aiming Technology. The DX-103 allows you to aim directly towards the prism with the push of a button, using an intelligent algorithm that automatically collimates the total station to the prism, giving correct angle readings. Just “rough aim” the instrument, press the trigger button, and you will get the exact measurement to your target within an accuracy of only 3 seconds!

The servo motors also make performing stakeout functions easier. With the aid of the red or green guide light, the total station turns automatically, allowing the surveyor to rapidly view the required direction for the stake point.

The Sokkia DX Robotic Upgrade Kit is an auto tracking firmware upgrade for the Sokkia DX total station series. This extremely reliable auto-tracking capability enables the total station to automatically point to the prism for one-man operation and rapid measurements. It comes on a USB memory stick and can be installed at any time on any previously sold Sokkia DX-103AC total station.

Data Recording at the Prism Rod

The exclusive LongRange data communication technology allows you to use the Sokkia Motorized Total Station at a distance of up to 984 feet. By using Bluetooth wireless communication to connect the total station to a data collector and control the total station remotely, the surveyor can record and calculate the data for as-builts, rod heights, codes and more at the prism rod, without returning to the total station itself.

High-Precision EDM Technology

The patented RED-tech technology enables you to perform distance measurement quickly and accurately by employing a single slender beam for both the laser pointer and the EDM. You get to enjoy fast and accurate measurement without the hassle of human error. With a measurement speed of only 0.9 seconds, standard functions such as coordinate geometry, ROAD and more can be finished in a short amount of time. When measuring with standard total station prisms, reflective sheet targets or reflectorlessly, the ultra-narrow beam allows you to pinpoint targets like roof overhangs, manholes, building corners or bridges with absolute accuracy. Other total stations use a wide beam to measure distances, which causes the area surrounding the target to be included in the measurement.

The Sokkia Surveying Motorized Total Station can also measure reflectorlessly to distances as far as 3,280 feet. Measure to dangerous or difficult to access locations, such as bridges, building scaffolding or overhead power lines safely and conveniently, saving time and money as well. The EDM-technology also saves time when measuring with a prism in areas where there are other reflective objects. Standard total stations force you to waste time resetting the total station and waiting for the instrument to re-target the prism. RED-tech, however, uses the auto-pointing feature to quickly find the prism, so you can resume measurement within seconds.

Built-in MAGNET Field Software

Powerful software is one of the secrets of successful surveying. The MAGNET software family provides superior software management at home and out on the field, allowing you to manage data for the DX-103AC surveying total station quickly and conveniently. Use the Cloud-based software to transfer data through the Magnet Field software on your data collector to your Magnet Office desktop software. The superior on-board software handles all surveying and engineering measurement functions such as coordinate geometry, ROADS, stakeout and more. Either way, MAGNET enables seamless data connection between the office and the field, ensuring you can exchange and track data and facilitate communication between numerous devices.

Easy to Use and Works with Sokia Data Collectors

The Sokkia Total Station features a color LCD touch screen which, thanks to the LED backlit, is easy to view, even in dim or dark lighting conditions. Enter letters, symbols or numbers on the 26-key alphanumeric keyboard, also backlight for stress-free viewing. The Sokkia DX-103AC offers a variety of data storage possibilities including 500MB internal memory, 8MB of memory on the included USB stick and the ability to upload data directly to the Cloud or a computer using the standard serial interface.

For field operations that require a data collector, the Sokkia DX total station can be used with any of Sokkia's data collectors, such as the Juniper Mesa,SHC2500, SHC250, SHC236 and SHC25.

This Sokkia total station package includes a hard carrying case, USB memory key, two detachable and rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, a battery charger, power cable, lens cap, lens hood, lens brush, screwdriver, tool pouch, laser caution sign board, adjusting pin, cleaning cloth, carrying strap for hard case and user manual.
