What is a Data Collector?

The PowerBoot module also integrates the battery and 9-pin serial and USB ports into one easily replaceable component that you can swap or reinstall in the field.
This topographic field computer is equipped with a Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system that easily runs various programs and third-party applications. It has preinstalled mobile versions of Internet Explorer and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Media Player. In addition, it comes installed with Microsoft ActiveSync for synchronizing mail, calendars, contacts and other data between this device and your desktop computer. This full-featured data collector comes standard with a high-performance 400 MHz Intel PXA255 XScale processor and 64MB RAM for running large applications and programs with ease.
